Joe, I think Bush I, was the best qualified President that the US ever had. He was a businessman, served in the service as a pilot, VP, and CIA Director. The way he handled Sadem Hussein, and Iraq was correct. He appeared to realize that Sadem was the policeman in that part of the Far East holding Iran, Syria, Saudi, and other countries in check through fear. That is why Bush II statement which you posted, IMO, was purely foolish. OBama would never had gone into Iraq. But, would gone after the terrorist with the drones and special forces. This would have held down the expenses of costly wars. However, that is just my conjecture.
