Futures did not tank. Flat screen producers likely got a boost in fact from flying shoes.

With respect and while true, I think the above is irrelevant to the discussion.
There are a couple trillion dollars waiting on the sidelines for good things to happen and for a reason to flow back into the markets. A solid spending and job creation plan might give them the aphrodisiac they need.
If a turn-around is detected and the bottom defined, then a rally we will have.

Just trying to get my head around the bigger picture.
