To anyone with short selling experience and can help,

Today I attempted to short YHOO and my order was cancelled by a trader(Pacific Brokerage Services-PBS). The reason I was given was that PBS could not borrow the shares from another Brokerage house for me to sell short. With YHOO being a highly traded stock I found this hard to believe, but none the less I couldn't short it. Is this a common problem with shorting stocks or does this only happen with the small Brokerage firms? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

TIA,

Phil
BTW- I was only selling short 100 shares so the size isn't a factor.
