Henry -

I enjoy reading this thread. It is excellent.

I'd like to give the regulars here an insight about the stock
price that I am surprized no one talks about.

(Warning:To save time, I am going to skip going back and
looking at how to spell all these names correctly. Ok?)

An average smuck like me, now thinks, that ANY diabetes
research is frought with danger.

The rationale?

Shi* if J&J got blown away ....

As such, I will pay attention (as an investor) and think the price will move as follows ....
(remember , I don't follow closely and don't know
the whole pipeline - only that lgnd is working
on diabetes)

1 - If LGND's drug gets thru Phase 3

- there's real price movement

2 - If they get past the Advisory Panel

- move 1/3 towards Infinity

3 - If they get past the Final Panel

- move 2/3 towards Infinity

4 - If it comes out that their thingie is better than WL's

- Skip GO and go directly to Infinity

Now my real point here, no matter what the pipeline,
Diabetes overshadows all else ..... and therefore ....
J&J debacle ..... and therefore ...

I'm sure I'm the only one that thinks this way,
but you never know ...

Regards,

John McCarthy
