Note that military spending has doubled in the last ten years. (And I'm pretty sure this doesn't include black ops, etc.) This is the biggest "discretionary" line item by far. Medicare has gone up big because US medical costs are out of control. Two huge opportunities here to reign in the budget... IMHO.

Brazilian problems are now opportunities. What draws the attention of Brazilian diplomats in recent months, during which increased doubts about the solvency of countries like France and Italy, are the targets of the business of the Old Continent. Bottlenecks Brazilians are now seen as an opportunity. Energy and airports top the list of interest.

Interesting how a crisis changes perceptions...
