Well, at least two cartoons were funny. The third one I just did not get.

I thought the one about Boston cannonaded was especially funny -- all the Europeans are snarking that the British are finally going to show America what's what -- we all know how that turned out. The British won the battle but lost the war. North and South American colonies of European countries are doing quite well as independent nations.

And the one about Obama -- maybe it's not really funny, after all. I guess not everybody understands that There Ain't No Such Thing As A Free Lunch (TANSTAAFL)? But the people I know who voted for Obama still believe in him. I am the only Republican in my workplace. Everybody else still has Obama bumper stickers on their cars. One lawyer has a photo of his family meeting with Obama as his screen saver. They still love him. My sisters and their families still love him.

The one about the Zulu war mystified me. The British lost the battle but won the war. South Africa is doing relatively well, considering.

>>Those are not reality. Get a grip folks. Get real.<<

Sorry Mq,

Every time you spout your VVV British Empire shtick, all I can think of is a bunch of people in funny costumes and an over-inflated sense of self-importance. <g>

Déjà vu all over again! France appeases Germany, and the plucky Brits take a lonely stand...

The French and Germans may howl with outrage, but David Cameron did the right thing in pulling up the drawbridge to a continent on the verge of collapse, says Niall Ferguson.
