..., though in fact the truth of America going back to the 1950's when the repsonse to the question of whether you believed God almost tops 99% ...the truth still today that same fundamentalist thinking ties in with almost an infatuation with getting too comfortable with "The Truth" and "Trusting in God" which most certainly has not been working out . (or the trust in those that govern whether Obama or Dubya )

Okay, what does going back to the 1950's have to do with anything? I suppose you're thinking and trying to say that believing in God is old-fashioned, modern people are too enlightened and sophisticated for that. That's a mere bias and a shallow one.

Its completely misleading to think that its the fault of this looming Secular movement towards atheism , which frankly i do not see the slightest battle being waged or threatening . Certainly Nixon had Billy Graham at his side and Reagan had Jerry Falwell and there's never been one Athesist ever elected to high office of any kind.

There certainly is an atheistic battle being waged. I could list dozens of ways in which its being fought. The banning of clergy from the official 911 ceremony is an example. The illegal attempt to prevent prayers in the name of Jesus at the Houston National Cemetary is another.

As for atheists in high office, I think there's a Congressman from California and there was a certain governor in Minnesota. But there won't be too many because atheists are just too damned arrogant and condescending for most people to like.

Its totally missleading that all these physicists have on their minds is to undermine Religious belief in God & miracles , they just do the work.... as noted here with this brilliant fellow Neil Turok that proposes the following that the Catholic Church has a problem with for all the too obvious reasons :

Physicist Neil Turok: Big Bang Wasn't the Beginning

That's an excellent example. There you see pure metaphysical speculation being passed off as scientific discovery. If there wasn't a desire to undermine the concept of God, you wouldn't see this happening.
