MQ the wave is superimposed with some some ups and downs. These are caused by the suns spots. But the wave itself is driven by Milankovich.

Anglos do not recognize Nikola Tesla. The great is Thomas A. Edison. Thus Milankovich is pushed aside by these Anglos who prefer their own theories.

But Milakovitch is right.

Daily data from sidc.oma.be . It appears that NOAA does some averaging with the numbers, and I'm not a fan of smoothing when the raw data is available... especially given my shorter term purposes.
Its not just two days either - sunspot counts were 70-89 during the period 5/29-6/4/2011. Excessive smoothing can also too easily hide the real data and substantially miss peaks and lows.

Interesting decent correlations with both CPI and gold.
