I'm amazed at how unfazed Wall St is by Asia!!!

The severity of the crisis is being minimized.

The Street really seems to think that the US economy is immune to any spill-over effect. I keep hearing about no inflation instead of how's inventory doing. They have discounted the effect on corporate earnings except in very selected cases. They think the financial bailout can be contained to Asian only resources. ITs amazing to me that they don't see this as the harbinger of a slowdown in the world economy. But they don't. I guess it has been so long since we had a traditional overproduction type recession (1958?) that nobody remembers what they are.

The Koreans are going to default on loans big time. Yet very little stock market reaction here.
