can't say, don't know. the last decade has been a disaster. our own lost decade but qualitatively much worse than what the japanese went thru.

Why could not GW do what Obama ultimately has done? They have drastically different agendas. GW was focused on feeding his base. Starting a war allowed him to do that, and the way it was done, with a triggering Pearl Harbor event, no questions were ever really asked. So 9-11 turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to GW and Americas billionaires. Co-incidence? youtube.com
