Why is it a liberal can apply this policy to the concept of labor negotiations but be in total denial about it's efficacy in dealing with tyrants and other enemies? Do you think Obama, given his obsequiousness with muslims and other rogues could ever negotiate a labor agreement on your terms? He's clueless and it amply illustrates his naivete and incompetence in all things, especially foreign policy. What a rube . The only problem with Mutual deterrence is where you have a crazy on either side who are ignorant to the consequences and willing to allow the total system to collapse. Having been is such a situation but to a lower scale, it like placing individuals in a circle and having an AK 47 weapon shooting at each other. I have seen the total destruction of organizations and individuals are lower to the "rule of the jungle." That is why when teaching MBA I has them role play the loss-loss approach, win-lose approach and win-win approach to bargaining in crisis situations. They then could decide which method of leadership style they wished to implement, either an autocratic or participatory approach to management. I came to the conclusion after many crisis that management is what makes the difference. When the win-win approach is utilized their are no or very little issues for an organizer to organize around. Therefore, there is no union created of community action groups organized. Having been on both sides of the management table I prefer using the win-win, employee ownership and empowerment style of management. This style of process has be validated and replicated as reliable in many leadership style of management studies. The old statement, "I have been there and experienced what the consequences of escalation conflicts can lead." The organizer rule, "Do not make a threat that you do not intend to implement is the bible." My only concern regarding OBama is, "he will not play hardball which he needs to play with his opposition." He should have Hoffa take the lead if the TEA Party wants to play hardball and play all the way!!!
