EVERYONE is living longer in developed countries. Try reading the links I posted. If you read the bios posted of really old people dying, you'll find they usually WEREN'T wealthy, except in genetics.

Your post indicates a basic lack of knowledge of our system.

Under US Medicare, all Americans are insured after age 65.

So the centenarians are all in the government funded system and need not be wealthy to have ridiculous amounts advanced to keep them going.

This is not wise, and suggests that death panels might be a good idea.

You are right that many younger people, under age 65, are uninsured and dying younger.

It is a fact that we will spend hundreds of thousands to keep a 90 year old alive for few weeks longer, but let a 25 year old die for lack of a prescripion for antibiotics.

The Republican solution is to equalize these outcomes.

Let all the SOB's die if they can't afford insurance.
