Ted, for every you and me that give a shit and are concerned, and LOOK for real information, there are 100 Americans for whom the internet only means Facebook, Call of Duty gaming, porn, downloading stolen movies and TV shows, and so forth. It's NOT a threat to them, yet. But it is a threat to them......they just don't know it. The internet is making things happen that normally would have taken many more years to make happen. For an example, electing a black man to the presidency. And its educating people in ways that never happened before......any model that allows the truth to come out only hurts them. Many of them don't know that because they are not as well versed in using the internet as the average American. What you and I take as second nature they still consider a novelty. Do you really think Dick Cheney can go on line and manipulate google for his benefit? If he did, he would not be making the kinds of statements publicly that can be so easily refuted..........by the WWW.
