As to the focus on PE, it doesn't matter what trailing earnings were and low low the PE is if the future looks bad. Trailing PE of 4 is not good if forward looking PE is also 4. On the other hand, having played this sector many times to much success, it looks like we have finally had everyone (analysts) issue their downgrades, so it might be buying time once again. When it looks like the sector is just worthless, it usually means it's hit rock bottom. Disclaimer, I am not investing at this time. Shamblin
