But it's not an obvious source of information, at least not on the surface, about the significance of this incident for the rest of climate research done by those GW folk who did not participate in climategate--that's what this debate is about for me--because B&N are making the case that it nullifies the work of all the rest.

Are you saying if I read climategate emails I'll learn the answer to that?
