From how I understand that - I agree. My point is that all enterprises should be taxed as equally as possible without opportunistic politicians trying to make points by demonizing select some and rewarding his friends. The special treatment Immelt and GE gets makes it hard to take this issue seriously. Bob

Sure, go after the hedgies............but without uniform taxation without discrimination, you might be surprised when the 'progressive' forces attack your oil or gas investments. (assuming since you post here, you have one) Second, beware the 'populist' imperative to tax MLP's.....and change the tax code to discriminate against oil/gas/hydrocarbon producing businesses. This already has been do to "help" ethanol and the farm lobby. Oil, gas and coal industries should not receive bigoted treatment. Yet, the populist movement is to isolate the oil/gas/coal industries and subsidize uneconomic solar industry. Ontario is one example. Government control of GM produced a Volt that doesn't sell..............while GM advertizes 500+ horse Cadillacs AND an almost unlimited, multi-billion dollar subsidy for GMAC credit (re-named ALLY Bank). You remember..Ally Bank.......and all those hokey, stupid commercials where one kid gets no ice cream, but the newer kid gets chocolate. ally.com Waste and crony capitalism are Obama's ideology. *Pass the bill, NOW.*
