interesting point, John, but when you and I buy MRV stock none of that $ goes into MRV's coffers - unless we had the foresight to buy the IPO and/or the secondary part that was company-issued stock.

Again, at a trade show that's for hawking the company's wares the trade name takes precedence.

An analogy is the Datsun line of cars - few of us paid much attention that Nissan was the maufacturer. At some point Nissan thought that unwise and dumped the Datsun name. It may well be that NBase becomes so important that (like Sara Lee) the parent company changes its name to that of the brand.
