I was glad to see creaf come out with 5.1 audio sys..

I for one have been in creaf for a long time now but to be truthful I still use my old... VERY old 16bit card from 92. Why, I found little in a new card then what I had. But a 5.1 or ac3 type card changes all the rules. Like I told Jon long ago the only thing that would be new and ADD to the sound of a PC is this. I sold much of my creaf a bit ago at a good price... but I think i'll be getting back in.

On that note what price to you see creaf as a good enter point?
Jon i'd love your input on this one...
The chart looks to me so so to not very good, But I know it at a low price here? Add to the the aztech thing and what do you do?

i'd say 25-23 if we have a good sell off though I my view that price is stupid but i'll take it.

CUBE Thread likes the PC-DVD RAM from Creative

Here's my response to them:

I got back from COMDEX yesterday afternoon. It's true that CREAF has this product at the
show; however, they are currently downplaying it (for how long, I do not know). In other
words, for strategy reasons I believe, they are not hyping it.

I did pick up the brochure and I spoke with one of their engineers who was very
enthusiatic. He told me that he sees a winter/spring release.
Obviously cost will be a factor - Toshiba announced their package at $799 on Monday.
You can go to the bank that Creative will destroy that number.

On another note, Creative closed at 45.1 or $28 5/16 on 387 volume. So far, it bodes well for a strong opening this am.
