According to a recent morning note from Salomon, they do not think BAY will exceed estimates this quarter but they see very good prospects in the following quarters and reiterated a BUY. Since BAY closed last year at 21, there will be no tax loss selling in BAY as opposed to ASND or COMS (both of which I own & am very long). After owning BAY for much of 1996 and 1997 & regretfully selling in mid 20s and 30s, I'm ready to re-buy my namesake stock. Will probably take an initial position this week although I wish I had done so last week. Oh well.
