Great article CC. Sometimes we need to step back from the present and look at the road ahead. The whole middle east economic scenario is frightening. Additional information on the economy of Syria, Libya and Egypt would likely be frightening. If I was still working I would have had access to "boots on the ground" in Egypt.

That window on the world is now closed for me.

Perhaps others in the group have access to coworkers in the Middle East.

I think the world's countries, including us, will head toward the increased use of nuclear power to power desalination plants to create covered canals of rivers of fresh water to be pumped into their interiors from their coast lines.
