Redtube. That's a perfect example of the tablet-optimized web that has sprung up around the iPad. On an iPad, that site loads into a substantially similar html5 variant with video thumbnails that are playable on the iPad. The layout and content is the same on desktop browser vs. iPad. Should I post a screenshot :) ? I did notice that the iPad version did not seem to support the "hover over" mouse behavior of the desktop version, but I'm not sure how that would work on an iPad. perhaps one of our colleagues with an Android tablet can report back as to how well such mouse over commands work with a touchscreen. I don't know whether Honeycomb devices also get the html5 version. The site on my Android phone switched to a mobile site that was substantially stripped down. I imagine that would be the case also for iPhones and Windows Phone 7 phones?
