On the contrary ElM, the way I and family and others I know who got into good countries and good jobs was to be high-end employees, not menial workers on low pay: <Target countries do not want people who come to compete for high paid, clean, with a good path, safe or cushy jobs.

They want taxi drivers. Cleaners, fruit pickers, meat packers those sort of jobs.

But you are right in regard to Japan. Livedoor wanted to hire swarms of Geeks from around the world but the government limited them, perhaps as part of the "old boys" vendetta against the upstart rule-breaking takeover artist, Takafumi Horie.

>If citizenship would be available -by trade- these down trodden would spend anything they have to move to a richer country.>

They would spend in the order of $10,000-50,000. Will pay more if they are guaranteed a job. They will pay as much as $500,000 if the US banks lend them that money to be paid over 30 years and guaranteed a job...like the taxi drivers are doing for taxi medallions.

Of course Maurice does not factor, the struggling immigrants who have obtained citizenship 5 years ago. They will sell their citizenships for $100,000 each and buy a farm in mexico for $500,000 for a family of 5.
