Our light rail here is well loved, and being expanded all over, winning bond elections for EVERY proposed extension. The original system was put in place for the Olympics, and just ran up and down the Salt Lake Valley. Now, we have branch lines running east and west, a line to the University of Utah and a line to the airport. Yeah, we're way behind Salt Lake. We'll be READY for $8/gallon We aren't. Speaking of gas prices, as oil prices have gone down, gas prices here have gone up. They are still as high as last Spring and didn't come down even after Labor Day. How about Salt Lake?
