I saw a similiar program. It was focused on how smart they are. I guess it really surprised everyone. Crows and other birds right up there with chimps. Who would have guessed?

I am reading now about how much our unconscious mind really gets us through our daily life without us being aware of it. When I have big decisions I always sleep on them and coucil my clients to do the same. Taught my kids to do the same and try and get in touch with their unconsious mind as much as possible.

But what really has my attention is the rapid progress of AI. They talk about a human singularity in 35 years, but I would guess we are starting to run into the problems with it right now at levels we don't see.

Like the worldwide internet, huge trading computers (limited by speed of light now) and military security.

A program I saw on NOVA this week talked about how they taught Watson to learn; and that they are desigining computers to improve themselves.

Brave New world has arrived.
