I was only kidding about the hawks. I think we just don't have ravens. Maybe they don't like The Valley. I couldn't blame them.

We've got rattlesnakes in a nearby dog park, and there are supposed to be pumas in the surrounding hills, in addition to the usual coyotes, possums, raccoons, and other woodland types. Bats. Squirrels.

I could move somewhere the ravens like better, if it meant that much to me, but I think perhaps I'll just accept the fact that I can't have a raven buddy right now.

Our puppy provides lots of amusement. He's reliably funny and charming. So I have that. And the twins, of course. ;-)
