<<Matt Taibbi: The $2 Billion UBS Incident: 'Rogue Trader' My Ass

rollingstone.com

Sort of ironic and poetic that two of the best magazines today pointing out the real problems in the country are the two old hippie magazines "Mother Jones" and Rolling Stone led by reporters David Corn an Matt Taibbi. Two of the best. Taibbi wrote an expose where he said he could trace back economic problem after problem to Goldman Sachs.

The thesis of our problem is that since 1980 we have been experiencing a story that runs parallel to George Orwell's " Animal Farm" where their rights were slowly taken away from them until only the pig could remember freedom.

As Marshall Mcluhan said: "the medium is the message". The medium here is the dismantling of the New Deal.

It started with lee Atwaters southern strategy and the neo cons strategy to win elections for the corporations, busting unions, and winning elections and transferring power from the middle class to the rich (via the tax cut chants which dems could not run against) and the systematic dismantling of public programs and transferring them to the private sector.

Now we face the Citizens United decision which may be the death nail of our freedom and the birth of living in a plutocracy. If we elect a Republician senate and presidency then corporate America will have solid control of all three branches of government.

And the corporations will not be fair or kind to us, and we will go back to Charles Dickens time. Corporations, as has been mentioned are sociopathic by definition.
