OT re Ford: If i was going to invest in a car company, I'd do what Buffett did: find a small Chinese or Indian company that, 20 years from now, will have a market cap bigger than Ford and Toyota combined. BYD, or TTM, or ???. The U.S. (and Japan and Europe) companies have legacy costs and unfunded liabilities (pension obligations, health care costs for retired workers, environmental regulations, union demands, etc.) which put them at a permanent disadvantage.
