WALTHAM, Mass. and NEWPORT, R.I., Nov. 19 /PRNewswire/ -- echoMEDIA Technology,

SimplyMagazine, Inc. today announced that the Simply Tax CD-ROM (www.simplymagazine.com),
one of the nation's most widely distributed, bug-free tax programs, will be added to the growing list
of echoMEDIA publishing clients. echoMEDIA will be the official advertising sales organization for
the Simply Tax magazine print space and interactive advertising located on the Simply Tax

preparation market is growing at a clip of 40% each year, we expanded the circulation of the
publication with its bound-in CD to reach mass-market retail chains such as, WalMart, K-mart,
CVS and Eckerd this tax season.''

''This relationship affords echoMEDIA's clients the ability to reach approximately 2,000,000
targeted consumers,'' stated Thomas Burgess, President and CEO of echoMEDIA. ''Our
advertisers includes are excited about the opportunity to include their own software program and
multimedia ad on the CD, in addition to having a significant presence on a very well-known and
highly respected magazine.''

Current advertisers participating in the program include AOL, AT&T, Cisco, E*Trade, Merrill
Lynch and Smith Barney.

In 1998, Simply Tax, one of the three major tax programs for PC's, will offer its tax preparation
software at a suggested retail price of $5.99. It will also offer a new 96 page magazine which will
