TI has an agreement with Amati and Westell. From today's announcement:

<<<The boards of directors of both companies have unanimously approved the acquisition, and the Amati board of directors has recommended that Amati's stockholders accept TI's all-cash tender offer. Consummation of the acquisition is contingent upon the tender of a majority of Amati's outstanding common stock...>>>

Amati recommends we approve of the cash offer. Supposedly the offer commences on Nov.25 and is terminated by Dec. 23. How is this in our best interest??? What is the rest of the story? Does it have to do with Motorola's chip, or lack thereof. Something does not make sense.
