I said that jobs should be a priority over "redistribution," and you're saying that jobs is an effect not a cause.

Seems like you think we don't have enough jobs because we aren't redistributing wealth enough.

I'm saying that the most powerful tool for job creation is the free market, not government "stimulus" programs.

But your playbook says that I'm to be accused of "doing nothing." Or not caring for the unemployed (tm SilentZ). Or being against clean air (tm Bentway).

So the market needs to retrench. Maybe a lot. Government can help ease the burden on both workers and business, but government cannot create jobs nor can government create demand. That's silly.

We have to ride out this downturn without making it worse or kicking the can down the road.
