It has done it before, the ratio seems to like to eventually bounce up or down off 1. Sometimes hanging around for quite a long time. The ratio could eventually signal that gold is entering a blow-off top phase. It seems worth while to keep an eye on that ratio and rotate into plat if it gets extreme. If nothing else plat will fall less after the top in PMs is blown. Of course gold has never gone to infinity in this country before because of a complete currency melt. So maybe historical ratios won't matter...

Also, IMHO, a ratio of 1 is just a point of interest or a sign to keep an eye open. It is not strong enough to trade on yet. But if it gets to say .80, that will be a different story.
