The previous letter of intent had expired some time ago, so it was important to pass along material information about the status of the Turkish order.

It looks like the work is proceeding on track. The release uses the words "possible final" consortium meeting which implies Maneks might get the go ahead very soon.

The country of Turkey generates about 90 million gallons of waste oil annually. The news release says,

...the collection of a potential 300,000 million tons of waste oil annually in Turkey...

Divide 90 million gallons by 300 gallons per metric ton and you get 300,000 tons.

What the news release probably said somewhere along the line was "300,000 M tons" where M stood for "metric" but was written out as "million".
