Um, we're in at least two wars right now. But it's good you should notice; without those wars, our deficit would be about 2/3 of what it is now and our debt would be like 15% smaller. And I remember telling y'all back in like 2004 or 2005 that we might end up with credit problems if we blew out of our deficit with irresponsible spending like that. Oh, yes, it is totally irresponsible to spend money on self defense. As opposed to spending it on absolute slop like 2 years of unemployment benefits, 100s of billions on counterproductive government garbage like the Dept of Education, a trillion dollars in economic stimulus that doesn't stimulate a damned thing, or the War on Drugs. And BTW, your numbers are totally f'ed up.
