I read a piece by the guy who interviewed Hansen and he said he asked him what would be different in 20 years. His name was Rob Reiss and the interview was in 1988 or 1989.

I understand Hansen has gotten Reiss to say Hansen really said 40 years. But 40 years is going to put us in 2028. There will still be people around who remember the 1988 statement so safer to say 80 years.

The important thing is the doubling of the CO2, since it, rather than time, is the greenhouse gas.

A doubling of little more than nothing, is still little more than nothing. So it goes up from .03% to .06%, there still isn't enough CO2 to have a dramatic impact.
