Well for the trend you present, they are the start and end points.

They certainly are, being the beginning and end points for all the satellite data we now possess = 30 years.

This is the LONG term, got it?

30 years is long term to the study of the climate? I don't think so.

LOL 32 years is now LONG term.

Even the whole period of accurate weather station data is short term, about 150 years.
