re GLW - @Clownbuck: I agree with you.

The bit I'm uncertain of is the tax treatment. The tax stuff in its 10K confuses me like hell. (Part of the complication is the equity accounting method it uses for some of its subsidiaries.) Besides, I just realised the tax-related figures I mentioned in my previous post were rubbish.

I need to read up on this topic and think it through carefully.
