This is something at you and 10000 other people say every time market tanks. Somehow nobody says it when market runs up 200% from 2009 lows. At that time "buy and hold" is working really well, thank you very much. Maybe you should think about it "not working" when everything is cheeky rosy? My point is that, even though it went up 200% from the 2009 lows, what if we reach the 2009 lows again because this is just a bear market rally. You would only be ahead if you had taken some profits and reinvested it at lower levels.
