Did HPQ take time to negotiate Meg Whitman's severance package?

It has been reported that Leo Apotheker is getting $35 million for his 11 months. They seem to be trying hard to show that Carly Fiorina was not overpaid.

I expect Whitman to get options on at least 10 million shares at today's price, and 20 million would not be a surprise. If the stock gets back to $50, that will be $300 million or double that.
