When our country’s economic survival depends upon feeding a machine that kills for profit with total disregard for human life or the survival of the planet it should be clear that global military conflict is inevitable.

Exactly, exactly what wars do we have going on that requires we keep a doubling of the denfense budget in the last 10 years? MIC!

I once saw Mullen bristle when Colbert referred to his uniform as a sargents uniform-lol. Implying, his uniform was much greater than that. So he is just full of shit.

<<47mil in poverty, but cut to the military and it's game over...WTF

For the first time, Adm. Mike Mullen said this afternoon that if the Super Committee set up by the White House is forced to cut any more from national security coffers, the military simply would not survive'.

Screwed up values system we have plus goes against the will of the American people who want jobs, ending the wars and let the Bush tax cuts expire. Obama really screwed up when he had the political power to end the wars and make jobs domestically his number one focus. .Maybe 55 million in poverty by election time as the vets come home to no jobs as the GOP just runs the clock out..
