US has no choice but to lose jobs to other countries that have lower overhead. Lower wages, lower taxes, no protection for workers or environment, no social safety net. All these add to cost of goods sold. That's just the breaks when it comes to free trade. On the other hand, companies that don't have safe workplaces or good pollution control force these costs onto others. Workers and their families suffer from industrial accidents. Everybody suffers from pollution. No free lunch, ever.
