Once I was visiting a friend in Canada she said she'd take a a couple of days off. I told he not to bother losing working days about me since I could make myself busy. Out of Nigeria I loved to just be in a civilized country!

She said: "I have some sick days, I have taken none in the past, so I take couple of sick days off." i asked if people have earmarked sick days she said they hjad.

It was devised for people not come to office and infect the working colleagues. I said, and who guarantee they stay at home and not go out and infect the public at large? There wasn't any.

Two countries that labor law allows for day off for funeral of close relative. I never see so many relatives dying than in Iran and Angola!!!

Labor protection is not about squalor is about rules opened to abuse.

A “great convergence” in living standards is under way as poorer countries speedily adopt the technology, know-how and policies that made the West rich. China and India are the biggest and fastest-growing of the catch-up countries, but the emerging-market boom has spread to embrace Latin America and Africa, too.
