BoP is Balance of Payments. The international investment position is the balance sheet of the stock of external financial assets and liabilities. The financial items that comprise the position consist of claims on nonresidents, liabilities to nonresidents, monetary gold, and SDRs. Feel free to add additional data that you think may be useful to others. I view those charts as yet another chart of the partial picture of which countries are doing "better", and useful even though they're a partial picture.
