bill c.,

Wstl, now at $20, is the same price as it was on August 18th... before the WSTL/Amati deal was announced! The $14.7 M is not even reflected by the market price today!

Someone is trying to dump 46,300 shares of AMTX at $19 3/4.

Well, If an Amati/Westell entity wasn't strong enough to go it alone, an Amati/TI/-Westell combination has the financial and sheer international presence to get a good share of the ADSL market. Clearly, TI expects to meet, as well as create demand in mass (levereaged with inexpensive intelectual rights purchased now).

TI will have to secure present and future outlets of its DSP chips, which means Westell gets nice sailing winds propelling it with an easier start up momentum as ADSL custumers focus their attention on Westell's products by way of TI oems and custumers channels.

Just Thinking.
N.O.

bill c. -- Since TI & Lucent spent so much developing the DSP Chips, don't you think Lucent will counter-offer?

:)
