With my limited understanding of TA, I'm not sure how to interpret this information or whether it's reliable on its own. For instance, if you look at the trade volume on July 27, 2011. It was 44m, while the days before and after it were in mid-teens. By this alone, can we argue "Volume picked up significantly as generally everyone who wanted out got out and allowed the trend to reverse"? The price has seen fallen from $16 to $12.35...

Or, would it be helpful to think in probabilistic terms? i.e. "the trend is likely to reverse because there is a high probability everyone who wants out got out?"

I'm still trying to learn this stuff.
