Sigh...the Derby was a great restaurant, but it's been gone several years now, replaced by another great steakhouse whose name escapes me. Vegas prices: A few years back 4 of us went to Elise, atop the Palms, did the full Monte (wine by the glass and a couple of Vodka martinis, no expensive drinking) and the bill was $525 excluding the tip. But Vegas has some of the greatest restaurants in the world. Remember the wine list at Napa at the Rio as the biggest I'd ever seen and their tasting room downstairs, which had 50,000 bottles and 2 Master Sommeliers running around...sigh
