Seriously, this global warming thing reminds me of the tobacco-cancer 'controversy' ... more or less same people, same tactics.

You say in the end it doesn't matter, and that's true in our lifetimes, but in a few hundred years it could lead to mass extinction. Watch the first episode of this next time you're in Canada ...

(The basic argument is too much warmth at the poles could turn off the great ocean conveyor and thereby de-oxygenate the ocean depths ... creepy anaerobic bacteria take over and eventually turn first the ocean, and then the atmosphere sulphuric; yes, it could all be happening anyway, naturally, but we're taking a hell of a chance is my opinion ... and the admiral guy's -g)

In any case, no matter how much you disagree with the above, don't let it dissuade you from watching the third episode, which features some of the most amazing deep sea creatures you can imagine, and then some.
