Lucent's relevant projects include a capability for .08 micron features, according the the announcement I've linked below. Going beyond current UV technology, Lucent is aiming at lithography tools based on the electron beam. Jointly with DPMI they are working on tools in the .08 micron region -- beyond the next generation of .13 to .18 micron... According to another post I saw somewhere else, DPMI is building a facility in space leased from LSI Logic in Gresham OR with capabilities down to .10 micron.. So maybe all this isn't so far out in never-never land as the naysayers would have us believe?? Just musing.. dlo "The Saintly One"
