Half the folks in my little berg have gone over to N. Dakota. Heaven only knows they deserve the pay. The winters over there are brutal. There is no way to make a living here. If it weren't for the Canadians we would really be in the soup.

I think the Canadian business is hanging by a thread too. I was on the road last week and ran into quite a few Canuckies. Every last one of them commented on the Loonie losing a few points. One would have thought it had dropped at least 25% the way they talked about it.

Correlate with agriculture. "agriculture states such as South Dakota, Kansas and Iowa also got an income boost with demand for crops"
