The people elected that I have seen for half a century in various countries are pretty well true to form and do not much to surprise me. <It might not be GS... but it is not the folks we elect either :o( illusion of democracy > I don't like what they do but they are the people that people voted for. For example people say they want freedom but do not vote for it. What they mean is that they want freedom for themselves, but not for other people. so they elect didactic autocrats, then moan when the bossy self-dealing people do what they will obviously do. It's not an illusion, it's really who people vote for, overall. Mqurice
