bc,

Welcome back.

Lot of questions there <g>

As for shorting, flip a coin and get on board. But, it will only last until Bennie has another monetary orgasm. And he is one horny bastard, so we must be careful.

Entry? No idea, but here is good. Or wait two days for the next 240 point rally. They come every other day or so, with down days in-between. A sign of a very healthy market that the little retail guys must love <NG>

Miners? Just terrible. Nothing much more to say about it. I can't explain it, but I regret buying them last week. Printing in size and globally, and yet, gold and silver have sold off. Not a single dollar or euro has been pulled back in. Not a single interest rate has been increased (exactly the opposite with the stated objective of Operation Twist), and yet, all it takes is a whisper that The Fed is slowing down and that is enough to stop gold and silver.

Our markets are not markets anymore, but you know that. Why even play really?

Physical is what saved my ass. Period. Buying it in 03/04 has made all the difference.

Trust me, I don't have the answers, but my, "investing" time horizon is days and not weeks or months. And that should tell you plenty.

welcome back
there still seems to be plenty of ripe pickings in the REIT category
And If nothing else, we've got volatility as the machines seems to be fighting amongst themselves more often
